TNT announced today that coverage of the NBA Playoffs tips off this Sun., April 20 at Noon ET with a special half-hour preview of the playoff match-ups featuring Ernie Johnson, Kenny Smith, Charles Barkley and Magic Johnson. The preview show will be followed by a tripleheader starting with Dwight Howard and the Orlando Magic hosting Chris Bosh and the Toronto Raptors at 12:30 p.m. ET in the first game of the series. Calling the action will be L.A. Clippers head coach and former NBA Coach of the Year Mike Dunleavy who will partner with play-by-play announcer Matt Devlin; Stephanie Ready will provide courtside reports. At 6 p.m. ET, Andre Iguodala and the Philadelphia 76ers visit Chauncey Billups and the Detroit Pistons as Marv Albert (play-by-play), Reggie Miller (analyst) and Dei Lynam (reporter) call the game. The final game of the night will feature Kevin Garnett and the Boston Celtics facing off against the Atlanta Hawks, in Atlanta ’s first playoff appearance since 1999. Dick Stockton (play-by-play), Mike Fratello (analyst) and Cheryl Miller (reporter) will announce the game. The night will conclude with Inside the NBA with Ernie Johnson, Barkley, Smith, and Magic Johnson.
TNT's NBA coverage continues on Mon., April 21 with TNT airing a doubleheader featuring Eastern and Western Conference match-ups. Coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET as LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers host Gilbert Arenas and the Washington Wizards. Albert (play-by-play), Reggie Miller (analyst) and Marty Snider (reporter) will call the game. Game #2 of the doubleheader features Tracy McGrady and the Houston Rockets hosting Deron Williams and the Utah Jazz at 9:30 p.m. ET. Sitting courtside will be Kevin Harlan (play-by-play), Doug Collins (analyst) and Craig Sager (reporter). To finish the evening’s coverage, Ernie Johnson, Barkley, Smith and Magic Johnson will break down the action on Inside the NBA.
